Hello and Welcome to Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation School!

The goal of our team is to create an enjoyable atmosphere for learning and growing academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually so that students will obtain a strong feeling of respect and pride within themselves.
The journey of education is one in which there is no definitive ending, but rather a holistic lifelong road that encompasses land, language, relationships, and culture.
As one elder expressed " I believe that education is our buffalo. If any changes for the good are to be made it will be education that does the job. It doesn’t matter where you send your kids; you need to support them to succeed— to give them a chance to succeed".

Education is our passport to the future. For tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare it today.
